Home / On the Issues / 2014 / Dr. Howard Fuller, Director of Marquette University’s Institute for the Transformation of Learning 53

Dr. Fuller, a distinguished professor of education at Marquette, visits Eckstein Hall to discuss his new memoir, No Struggle, No Progress: A Warrior’s Life from Black Power to Education Reform. The book, released September 9, chronicles Fuller’s journey from community organizer and founder of Malcolm X Liberation University in North Carolina, to Milwaukee Public Schools Superintendent, to one of the nation’s leading proponents of parental choice. The nation’s former education secretary, Rod Paige, says No Struggle, No Progress “reveals the inner workings of a life passionately determined to assure that underserved children are not left behind.” Fuller will talk about his life’s work when he joins us at the Law School.
